When you get married in April in Calgary, you never know what you are going to get for weather! It could be Snowing, Raining, or Hot and Sunny lol… But if you have a good sense of humour and you know how to just go with the flow then getting married in April is what we call an Adventure!
Today for Steve and Janae was absolutely beautiful! Of course it would have been beautiful regardless of the weather, but somehow we lucked out and Mother Nature decided to be kind to us. We were honoured that these two chose us as their wedding photographers and we hope we killed it on their day! Of course Canyon Meadows Golf Course is always an amazing location, with awesome food and excellent service.
Janae and Steve are such a sweet couple and you can just see how much they love each other when they are together. We loved everything about their wedding, down to all of the little details that Janae took so much care an attention planning. Wishing these two many many many amazing years together! Today was a Beautiful Day for Spring Wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. I absolutely LOVE small intimate weddings and this is exactly what this was. You know when someone has a small wedding, that everyone there present on the day is extra special and has a very big place in the Bride and Groom’s Heart.
Staci looked stunning in her white dress and red flowers to accent, perfect for a end of Winter, beginning of spring Wedding. Ryan looked pretty darn spiffy in his black tux with the little red flower versus your typical wedding boutineer. When getting married in the mountains, you never really can count on a certain type of weather as it could snow at any point, even in the summer. Today the weather gave us a little bit of rain, snow and sunshine, it was an all in one kind of day. It did mess a little with some of the plans we had for this beautiful day, but nothing that can’t be fixed, rescheduled or rearranged.
Everything about this wedding was perfect. Perfectly planned, right on time, women looked great, men looked awesome, and the weather was perfect. I love smaller weddings, they always seem to roll a little bit smoother than large weddings. Maybe it is less people, less drama, less organizing, I don’t know but they are always so chill and intimate which makes for a less hectic day for the us as well as Bride and Groom. This whole wedding took place in South Calgary, which was nice, everything was super close, not a lot of driving which is always nice for the photographers! You can’t go wrong with Fish Creek wedding photos as it is beautiful there and so many different things to photograph. Bow Valley Ranche House is absolutely amazing, it is gorgeous inside and out, the landscaping, the flowers, the old rustic wood and the FOOD… Everything was perfect at the Ranche for this Wedding.
Thank you to another amazing client of ours, just happens to be cousin to the groom, who introduced us to Dave and Amanda. If it hadn’t of been for her, our paths may have never crossed and for that we are forever grateful. Dave and Amanda are so kind and although different in many ways, similar in others and they just made the most perfect couple!
All I can say is WOW! An amazing time we had with Natalie and Justin. Their families were so wonderful and made us feel right at home. The location of this wedding was absolutely Beautiful Cochrane RancheHouse! Absolutely loved working at this venue. They were so accommodating and excellent to work with! This was the perfect venue for this chic country western theme wedding. As well as fits perfectly with this couple whose lives revolve around farming/ranching and horses! I think they did an awesome job at decorating for this wedding and showing their personalities and who they really are through different little things, gifts and details at their wedding! What a Special Day!
Natalie was an absolutely gorgeous bride with the cutest dress ever! It was a beautiful light weight puffy chiffon dress with a long train. I couldn’t believe how light it was, usually wedding dresses are super heavy and hot even on a cold day! We had an amazing time at this wedding and are so honoured to have been able to share this special day with Nat and Justin!
It has been almost 2 years since Lynn and Tim booked us for their wedding this coming September and we cannot wait for this day to arrive. Lynn is absolutely stunning and is going to look amazing in her wedding dress.
Last night we had the pleasure of spending some more time with Lynn and Tim while photographing their engagement session in downtown Calgary know as Inglewood. Love this old area down by the river. Check out a little sneak peek from their photo session!
Had an awesome time last week photographing these two beautiful people (inside and out). They were amazing to work with and loved Mallory’s choice of clothing and matching shoes and necklace. Downtown Calgary is so much fun to shoot especially when a girl wants to wear heals. Much easier than photographing in a park.
From the moment we met these two we knew that we were a perfect match and we are thrilled to be photographing their wedding this coming Summer. Thanks for choosing us C&M as your Wedding Photographers. Can’t wait to see you again!
Two years ago when we met Travis and Tayona, little did we know that this little meeting would turn into such a precious relationship and I remember feeling super excited the day that Tayona said we definitely want to go with you guys, “can we book you this soon”? We of course said YES, and I just knew that everything about this couple and their special day would be perfect. That it was! Most beautiful day surrounded by their most cherished friends and family in their home town of Airdrie. This couple is absolutely meant to be together and everything that surrounds them just radiates love. After having a quick look through their photos, we knew we couldn’t wait any longer to share a sneak peek. Absolutely love the photos from their wedding! Today we are going to share a few sneak peeks of the day with you!Couldn’t figure out which photo I liked more the black and white or the colour, so I posted them both!
From the moment we met this couple, we just knew we had to be part of their Special Day. At first we only got to meet Kane for a few minutes because he was right in the middle of his busiest season of work but we sat with Emilie at a Second Cup talking for almost 2 hours. As we left the meeting, we hugged and then and there I just hoped and prayed that they would choose us to capture their Wedding Day. After anxiously waiting we did receive the call from Emilie saying YES we want you to capture our day and this is where the memories began. First we did an engagement session which I will post in another post and then only weeks later on to the wedding. We were excited to be able to do an engagement session with these two because it gave us a chance to get closer to Emilie and really get to meet Kane. Then onto the wedding day. Emilie had everything planned right down to the minute (which by the way I love). The schedule got followed pretty closely with only a few minor last minute changes. From the moment we arrived at their home; we felt like part of the family. Everyone was at the one house getting ready which was so nice “especially for us”! and then once it was time for Emilie to get down to the dress… off went Kane. We met up a little later in an amazing park where Kane and Emilie laid eyes on each other for the first time all dressed up in their Wedding Gear. I can only imagine what Kane thought when he saw Emilie, but I am thinking he was pretty excited. With a huge smile on his face from ear to ear, you just know what he was thinking. What an amazing moment and I am so glad that we were there to see, capture and document this amazing moment between the these two.
We were lucky enough to have met Eric’s mom at a Wedding Show and she put the wheels in motion for us to meet with Eric and Victoria who lived in BC. From the moment we met with them we just knew we wanted to photograph their Airdrie wedding and we are pretty sure the feeling was mutual.
