It could not have been a nicer Fall day for this Wedding at the Silvertip Resort and Golf Course.  The Mountain top wedding was absolutely stunning with the most breathtaking views, the location was gorgeous, the reception hall was beautiful and the food well we won’t even go there lol!! Probably the best food ever!  We are so lucky and blessed to be able to spend such special moments with people, capturing and documenting one of the most memorable moments of their lives! Calgary & Area Wedding Photographers – Kailen & Mike – Strathcona Centre, Calgary.

A beautiful, beautiful day for a beautiful couple! The time and effort  put into every little detail really shows. Kailen and Mike really tied the whole day together! We had such a blast at the Strathcona Centre and had a chance to capture some fantastic “end of the night” photos.

Calgary Wedding Photographers – Dave & Amanda’s Country Style Ranch Wedding – Bow Valley RancheHouse, Fish Creek, Calgary Alberta

Everything about this wedding was perfect.  Perfectly planned, right on time, women looked great, men looked awesome, and the weather was perfect.  I love smaller weddings, they always seem to roll a little bit smoother than large weddings.  Maybe it is less people, less drama, less organizing, I don’t know but they are always so chill and intimate which makes for a less hectic day for the us as well as Bride and Groom. This whole wedding took place in South Calgary, which was nice, everything was super close, not a lot of driving which is always nice for the photographers!  You can’t go wrong with Fish Creek wedding photos as it is beautiful there and so many different things to photograph. Bow Valley Ranche House is absolutely amazing, it is gorgeous inside and out, the landscaping, the flowers, the old rustic wood and the FOOD… Everything was perfect at the Ranche for this Wedding.

Thank you to another amazing client of ours, just happens to be cousin to the groom, who introduced us to Dave and Amanda.  If it hadn’t of been for her, our paths may have never crossed and for that we are forever grateful.  Dave and Amanda are so kind and although different in many ways, similar in others and they just made the most perfect couple!

How sweet are these two at their Engagement Session last month.  With all this crazy weather we have been having, we thought for sure we would have to postpone this session.  As we were driving to the SW of Calgary, skies were black to the north and clear to the south and thankfully just as we arrived at our location, the sky cleared and it turned out to be a gorgeous night.  CODIO PhotographyCODIO PhotographyCODIO PhotographyCODIO PhotographyCODIO Photography

Edmonton Wedding Photographers – Renee & Ian’s Sherwood Park/Josephburg Wedding – July 23rd, 2016

Renee & Ian, where to start?  These two are just amazing, together and separately!  They are both kind and loving and someone you just want to have on your side!  It feels like forever ago that we met Renee, when she was a bridesmaids for a wedding we photographed back in 2014.  One very cold day in February, -27 to be exact is the day we met Renee.  I remember her telling us on that day that when she gets married that we are definitely going to be their wedding photographers.

Well it wasn’t too long after that, that we got a phone call from Renee wanting to set up a consultation to discuss Wedding Photography.  From the moment we met Renee and Ian at our kitchen table, we knew that the 4 of us were a perfect fit and Renee and Ian booked us right then and there.  Although there has been a few bumps a long the road…. Change of wedding date, just to name a few!  We all stuck together and pushed through what we call “Life”.  As I suspected, things would get better and everything would sort it self out.  Not to say that every thing worked out as perfect as one would have wanted.  But such is life and we really must take what life throws at us and deal with it to the best of our ability, which is definitely what these two did!  Renee and Ian are absolutely amazing and I could not have imagined any part of their wedding differently than what it was!

I think sometimes people get caught up with trying to keep up with the Jones’ and needing to have everything that everyone else wants and impression everyone. But when it all comes down to it, what is important is what you want (the Bride and Groom), especially on a day that is supposed to be the most important day of your lives!  This is exactly what Renee and Ian did, they planned their day for them and chose the things that were important to them and how they wanted to celebrate their special day.  This day was perfect.  I loved how they left 4 hours for photos between the ceremony and reception.  This made our job easy, nothing was rushed or stressful and photos turned out lovely.  We also got to go to a few different locations and we even got a quick stop in at Wendy’s!  Instead of a formal dinner, the reception was set later in the evening which was super fun and casual, less stressful for everyone.  Some amazing speeches, gorgeous cake and cupcakes, made by the cousin of the bride and an awesome evening lunch was served!  This day was amazing and we cannot wait to see what life brings for Renee and Ian and we know we are going to see you guys again on all those special moments in life… pregnancy… childbirth… family photos and more!  CODIO PhotographyCODIO PhotographyCODIO Photography

Wedding Photographers – David & Madison – Saskatoon Wedding

David and Madison… Where do I start? From the first moment these two came into our lives they made a huge impression upon us.  I new the minute we met them that we wanted to photograph their wedding and it was absolutely amazing to hear after our one hour consultation that the Most Definitely Wanted us to be their Wedding Photographers and capture one of the most special days of their lives! None of this would have been possible if it hadn’t of been for Madison’s amazing big Sister that sent Madison and David our way and for that we will every be so grateful.

I am not sure what part it was about Madison or David that won us over but from the moment that Madison said she had done missionary work in Mexico I think that might have been it for me.  As you many of you know I volunteered for many many years in a Dominican Orphanage and so this type is work is just so close to my heart.  I truly believe that it takes special person to give themselves this way and put themselves out there and help others that are so helpless and don’t have any other options or places to turn to or any of the lovely resources like we have here in Canada.  Third world countries are a completely different from what we live daily here in Canada and only those with very special kind, loving , giving hearts can do this type of work.  We look forward to staying close with Madi and David and seeing what the future holds for them.  Their future missionary plans sound absolutely amazing and there is nothing that will stop you two!  The world is yours and we wish you all of the best as you start your new lives and adventures together!

As for the wedding, well I don’t even know if I have words to describe how beautiful it was!  A 1st for us, photographing 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen… that is 22 people in the wedding party, oh and don’t forget 3 flower girls and 1 ring boy! It was fun to be back in my old hometown where I graduated to photograph this Saskatoon Wedding which took place at the Saskatoon Inn with formal photos taking place at the University of Saskatchewan, Research Place, Boffin Gardens and bridge.

Everything about this day went smooth and believe me, you wouldn’t think 12+ women in a hotel room getting ready would go smoothly!  Everyone was right on time, the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, as were all of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents of the bride and groom, and all those that attended the wedding!  I love hearing stories during the reception of the bride and groom and there were some amazing stories told this day.

I could probably talk for days about these two but I will leave it at this and just say that we are so Honoured to have been chosen as your Wedding Photographers and hope you LOVE your photos!

Calgary & Area Engagement Photographers – Mike & Kailen – Big Hill Springs Provincial Park, Ab

We had so much fun photographing this couple on their engagement session.  Loved the outfits and the coordination between the two!  This was another engagement session that we thought we might have to cancel.  Black skies to the north, blue to the south and a little bit of rain on the way out to Big Hill Springs Provincial Park.  But once we arrived, things cleared up and we were good to go! Cannot wait for their wedding which just happens to be this coming weekend.  I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by.  Time always seems to fly when couples book us a year in advance, the next thing you know, their special day is right around the corner.   Can’t wait for this wedding, weather is looking good, maybe we are finally done with all these storms!  This weekend will be here before we know it!  See you two soon!CODIO Photography
